| 1991 |
with the generous support of the community, a small unit rented to hold ISCN activities & events |
| 1994 |
To serve the needs of the growing Muslim community in Corona & Norco, ISCN moves to a 2,500-square-foot warehouse, signing a five-year lease. |
| 1999 |
ISCN closes escrow on house and 2.31 acres of land located at 2461 S. Main Street in Corona, with the intention of removing existing structure and building a permanent Islamic Center. |
| 1999 |
With the value of the Main Street property appreciating significantly, and a great increase in the number of Muslim families relocating to the Corona area, the ISCN Board of Directors decides to sell that property and becomes aware of four acres of flat land for sale located at 465 Santana Way in Corona. With easy access from the 15 & 91 Freeways and being adjacent to Corona’s largest city park (and accompanying parking spaces), the property is deemed as the ideal spot for a permanent Islamic Center. |
| 1999 |
Lease for additional 2,500-square-foot warehouse on Harrington St. and extended the original lease for 18 months |
| 2000 |
With the overwhelming support and generosity of the Muslim community, ISCN purchased the 4.3 acres property on Santana Way. |
| 2001 |
The City Council approved and issued a building permit for ISCN. |
| 2005 |
Phase I of the ISCN building project is completed, consisting of a multi-purpose room, classrooms, administrative offices, and restrooms/wudu areas for men & women. The multi-purpose room will temporarily serve as the main prayer hall, accommodating as many as 457 people, until the permanent Masjid is completed. Phase I also includes construction of the primary parking lot and associated landscaping, as required. |
| 2007 |
Insha’Allah, with YOUR generous support again, groundbreaking will take place on Phase II as soon as the enough funds are collected and the engineering plans are approved by the City. |
